Faq for TERBINAFINE GEL - TOPICAL

Terbinafine Gel is used topically to treat fungal infections of the skin, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm.

Terbinafine Gel works by inhibiting the growth of fungus on the skin. It kills the fungus or prevents its growth, thus treating the infection.

Clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the gel. Rub it in gently and wash your hands afterward. Apply the gel once or twice a day, as directed by your doctor.

The duration of treatment can vary depending on the type and severity of the infection. In most cases, significant improvement is seen within a few days, but it may take a few weeks to fully clear the infection.

Common side effects include itching, burning, or stinging at the application site. These usually subside on their own. However, if you experience severe irritation, rash, or any other allergic reaction, stop using the gel and consult your doctor.

It is best to consult your doctor before using Terbinafine Gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. They will weigh the potential benefits against any potential risks to make an informed decision.

Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before using other topical products alongside Terbinafine Gel, as some medications may interact or reduce its effectiveness.

Terbinafine Gel is primarily used for fungal infections on the body, feet, or groin area. It is not recommended for use on the face unless specifically instructed by a healthcare professional.

It is important to complete the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve. Stopping prematurely can lead to the persistence or recurrence of the infection.
