Uses
USES: This medication is used along with another drug (a somatostatin analog such as octreotide) to treat diarrhea due to carcinoid syndrome. Telotristat helps to reduce the number of bowel movements that you may have.
How to use TELOTRISTAT - ORAL
HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with food as directed by your doctor, usually 3 times a day. If using short-acting octreotide with this medication, take this medication at least 30 minutes before using octreotide. Octreotide may decrease the amount of telotristat in the body. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day. Tell your doctor if your condition does not get better or if it gets worse.
