Uses
USES: This product is used to treat minor aches and pains of the muscles/joints (such as arthritis, backache, sprains). Menthol and methyl salicylate work by causing the skin to feel cool and then warm. These feelings on the skin distract you from feeling the aches/pains deeper in your muscles and joints. This product should not be used by children younger than 18 years without a doctor's advice. Check the ingredients on the label even if you have used the product before. The manufacturer may have changed the ingredients. Also, products with similar names may contain different ingredients meant for different purposes. Using the wrong product could harm you.

Faq for METHYL SALICYLATE/MENTHOL PATCH - TOPICAL
A methyl salicylate/menthol patch is a topical medication that contains the active ingredients methyl salicylate and menthol. It is applied directly to the skin and provides temporary relief from minor aches and pains.
The patch works by releasing methyl salicylate and menthol into the skin, which stimulates the nerve endings and provides a cooling sensation. This helps to block pain signals and alleviate discomfort in the affected area.
The patch is commonly used to relieve muscle and joint pain, including backaches, arthritis pain, strains, sprains, and bruises. It can also provide relief from minor aches associated with minor injuries, such as sports-related injuries.
Clean and dry the affected area before applying the patch. Remove the protective backing and apply the patch directly to the skin. Do not apply the patch to broken or irritated skin. Use only one patch at a time and leave it on for the specified amount of time indicated on the packaging.
Some individuals may experience skin irritation, redness, or a burning sensation at the application site. If you develop a rash or experience severe skin irritation, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Do not use the patch on children under 12 years old without medical advice.
It is advisable to consult a healthcare professional before using the patch with other medications, especially if you are taking blood thinners or have any known allergies or medical conditions. Some medications may interact with the active ingredients of the patch.
The recommended usage duration varies depending on the specific product. Follow the instructions provided on the packaging or consult a healthcare professional for guidance. It is generally recommended not to use the patch for more than 7 days unless directed by a healthcare professional.
It is recommended to consult a healthcare professional before using the patch if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The active ingredients may pass into breast milk and could potentially affect the baby.
No, the patch should not be applied to open wounds, cuts, or broken skin. It is intended for intact skin only. Consult a healthcare professional for appropriate wound care and pain relief options.
