How to use HYDROQUINONE - TOPICAL
HOW TO USE: Follow all directions on the product package, or use as directed by your doctor. Before using, apply a small amount of this medicine to an area of unbroken skin, and check the area within 24 hours for any serious side effects. If the test area is itching, red, puffy, or blistering, do not use this product and contact your doctor. If there is just mild redness, then treatment with this product may begin. Apply this medication to the affected areas of skin, usually twice daily or as directed by your doctor. This medication is for use on the skin only. If it is used incorrectly, unwanted skin lightening may occur. Avoid getting this product in your eyes or on the inside of your nose or mouth. If you do get this medication in those areas, flush with plenty of water. This medication may make the treated areas of skin more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths, and sunlamps. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing on the treated areas of skin when outdoors. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 2 months.

For Hyperpigmentation: I have just received my shipment of prescription Acella hydroquinone 4% from GeniusRx yesterday, 9/26/2022. I have never used this brand (Acella) before and it is positively awful. It is very lightweight, oily and creamy, like a lotion. When you apply it and start rubbing it in, it doesn't seem to be absorbed by the skin and instead, it starts to roll up into little particles on your skin. The base color is tan but when it starts rolling up on your skin, it turns dark brown like chocolate. It is horrible. When I contacted GeniusRX about it today, they did not want to refund my money, nor replace it with a different brand. I paid $109 for it so I am going to use it to see if it works as long as, and unless, it starts to irritate or damage my skin. I normally use 4% hydroquinone by Westminster Pharmaceuticals. It is a great product! It absorbs into the skin well and works relatively fast, but it is so expensive. The truth is you get what you pay for. The Westminster can be as much as $50 a tube and the tubes for both brands are small - the same size 1 oz (28.35 g). The Acella is $13.00 per tube - no wonder! I guess I will use my GoodRX and get it for $25-$28.00.
