Uses

USES: Grape seed has been used for blood circulation problems (venous insufficiency, edema) and certain eye problems (eye strain). Grape seed has also been used as a source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids to protect against heart disease. Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmacist for more details about the particular brand you use. How to use GRAPE SEED (Vitis vinifera, Vitis coignetiae) - ORAL

HOW TO USE: Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets. Doing so can release all of the drug at once, increasing the risk of side effects. Also, do not split the tablets unless they have a score line and your doctor or pharmacist tells you to do so. Swallow the whole or split tablet without crushing or chewing. This product may prevent the growth of Lactobacillus acidophilus, a type of bacteria normally present in the gut that is sometimes taken to maintain gut health. Do not take grape seed at the same time as Lactobacillus products (e.g., live-culture yogurt). Take these products 2 or more hours apart. If your condition lasts or gets worse, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, get medical help right away.

Side Effects

SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, abdominal pain, sore throat, nausea, and diarrhea may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. A very serious allergic reaction to this product is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Overdose
