How to use CLOBETASOL LOTION - TOPICAL
HOW TO USE: Read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using clobetasol lotion and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions regarding the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Use this medication on the skin only. However, do not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless directed to do so by your doctor. Wash and dry your hands before applying. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 2 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. After applying the medication, wash your hands, unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting the medication in your nose or mouth. If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with plenty of water. Do not apply more than 50 grams (50 milliliters or 1.75 ounces) in a given week unless directed by your doctor. Doing so increases the risk of serious side effects. Use this medication only for the condition prescribed. Do not use for longer than 4 weeks unless directed by your doctor. If no improvement occurs in 2 weeks of treatment with clobetasol, or if your condition worsens, stop using this medication and inform your doctor.

Faq for CLOBETASOL LOTION - TOPICAL
Clobetasol lotion is a topical corticosteroid medication that is used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. It helps to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness associated with these conditions.
Clobetasol lotion should be applied to the affected areas of the skin as directed by your healthcare professional. It is usually applied once or twice daily, avoiding the eyes, mouth, and genital areas. You should wash your hands before and after applying the lotion.
The onset of action of Clobetasol lotion varies between individuals and the specific skin condition being treated. However, noticeable improvement may be seen within a few days of starting treatment. It is important to continue using the lotion as directed, even if symptoms improve, until the entire prescribed course is completed.
Common side effects of Clobetasol lotion include burning, itching, stinging, dryness, and redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. However, if you experience severe irritation or any other concerning side effects, it is important to contact your doctor.
Clobetasol lotion is generally not recommended for use on the face due to its high potency and sensitivity of facial skin. It is advisable to use milder topical corticosteroids specifically formulated for facial application. Consult your healthcare professional for appropriate treatment options for facial skin conditions.
Clobetasol lotion is classified as a Category C medication during pregnancy, which means that its safety during pregnancy has not been well-established. It is best to consult with your healthcare provider before using Clobetasol lotion if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
