Uses
USES: This product is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This product contains 3 medications: amlodipine, valsartan, and hydrochlorothiazide. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, and valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They both work by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Hydrochlorothiazide is called a "water pill" (diuretic) and causes your body to get rid of extra salt and water by making more urine.
How to use AMLODIPINE/VALSARTAN/HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE - ORAL

Amlodipine/valsartan/hydrochlorothiazide is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that helps relax and widen blood vessels, valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that also helps relax blood vessels, and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps decrease fluid accumulation in the body. Together, they work to lower blood pressure.
Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken once a day, with or without food. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
Common side effects may include dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, nausea, and swelling in the ankles or feet. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Serious side effects, although less common, may include allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, irregular heartbeat, or severe dizziness.
It is generally advised to limit alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as alcohol can increase the blood pressure-lowering effects and cause additional side effects such as dizziness or lightheadedness.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, notify your doctor immediately.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist about all the medications you are currently taking, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbal supplements, and vitamins. Certain medications, such as lithium, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or other blood pressure medications, may interact with Amlodipine/valsartan/hydrochlorothiazide and increase the risk of side effects.
The full effect of this medication may take several weeks. It is important to continue taking it as directed by your doctor, even if you feel well, to manage your blood pressure effectively.

Consult your doctor for more details and to discuss the use of reliable forms of birth control while taking this medication. If you are planning pregnancy, become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant, tell your doctor right away.
