For ADD, Depression: I've been taking 20 mg of methylphenidate for several years now. It has helped me tremendously with my conditions. Have taken this medication that was made from various pharmaceutical companies and for the most part they have all worked much like the other. But last month my medication came from Camber pharmaceuticals. It was different as day and night. Not only was it completely ineffective but made me feel ill everytime I took it. Even vomiting. I told my pharmacist that if Camber was the only company that they could order from, then I would have to have my doctor send my prescriptions elsewhere. But thankfully he changed my meds to another company. It puzzles me how the FDA will allow such substandard products as Camber methylphenidate be licensed to produce and sell. I've researched generic drugs and different companies and now know how they are so much cheaper than brand and sometimes not work as they should. They will have the active ingredient but the amount can vary from as low as 85% minimum to 120% maximum. I'm sure they will likely have the bare minimum so they can stretch the active ingredient much farther. Then just add all kinds of fillers to complete the process and, Bam! Product finished and ready to market. So I don't want to ever hear that generic drugs are just as effective as brand name. That's BS. Thank you.
